The problem is never the idea. Executives and founders who want to write a business book almost always have something worth saying. The problem is time: not the vague, general kind of time pressure, but the specific reality that writing a book requires months of sustained concentration, and months of sustained concentration is exactly what a senior career does not provide.

This is a business book writing service designed around that constraint. You do not need to find hours in your week. You do not need to become a writer. You need to provide your expertise, your experience, and your voice. The architecture and the prose are handled.

The book that never gets written is not missing ideas. It is missing a structure and a process that fits around the life of someone who is already fully occupied.

Who this service is for

You have the idea but not the structure

You know you have a book in you. You have thought about it for years. What you do not yet have is a clear picture of what the book actually is: its argument, its chapter sequence, the through-line that holds everything together. The Book Blueprint resolves that in three hours.

You have the structure but not the time

Some clients arrive with significant thinking already done: a rough outline, a few draft chapters, years of accumulated material. What they cannot do is write consistently enough to produce a complete manuscript alongside a demanding career. The Writing Partnership handles chapter-by-chapter production while they get on with everything else.

You want the book done

The complete journey from first session to finished manuscript can be completed in nine months for a standard business book. The work happens between sessions. The time you invest each month is modest. If you have decided the book needs to exist, the question is which process gets it done.

How the service works

Two phases. The first is a standalone product with no obligation to proceed to the second. Most clients who complete the Blueprint continue to the Writing Partnership because the Blueprint makes the book feel achievable for the first time.

Phase 1

The Book Blueprint

A structured discovery session of up to three hours, in one session or two. Within seven days, you receive a complete Book Blueprint: your book's central argument, working title, chapter architecture, voice and tone direction, target reader, market position, and a practical roadmap from Blueprint to finished manuscript.

The Blueprint is delivered with a review session: a conversation to walk through the completed document together, refine anything that needs adjusting, and answer questions. The Blueprint is not delivered and left on your desk. It is delivered, reviewed, and refined until it accurately represents the book you want to write.

Most clients describe receiving their Blueprint as the moment the book became real: not an idea they intended to pursue, but a project with a structure and a path.

Phase 2

The Writing Partnership

A fixed monthly retainer with a six-month minimum commitment. One chapter cycle per month: you provide raw material for the chapter in progress, a polished draft is produced, then revision and voice calibration until the chapter is right. The client holds final editorial sign-off on everything that carries their name.

After the initial six months, the partnership continues on a rolling monthly basis with one month's notice to conclude. Once all chapters are complete, the full manuscript is read as a single document: continuity, argument arc, repetition, and tonal consistency checked and corrected across the whole before the book is finished.

The manuscript produced is not a ghostwritten approximation of how you sound. It is built from your own words, your own examples, your own arguments. The process is designed to produce a book that sounds like you at your most articulate.

What clients say

"Tommy is a Trojan. By this I mean his dedication and work rate are exemplary, and have enabled me to move far faster in our mutual exploration of the power of sophisticated tools to extract, express and extrapolate my core creative writing. I write quickly and easily, the master scribe if you like, while Tommy has applied technology tools as super-fast accelerants. Writing three books in parallel would not be possible without the application of these services."

This is not ghostwriting

The distinction matters enough to state clearly. A traditional ghostwriter works from interviews and existing material, then produces a manuscript in their interpretation of your voice. The result is professionally written, but many authors find a gap between how the book reads and how they actually sound. Closing that gap requires revision cycles, and some clients report it never fully closes.

This service starts differently. The Book Blueprint captures how you think and speak before a word of manuscript prose is written. Every chapter is produced from raw material you have provided in your own words: recordings, notes, conversations, existing writing. Voice calibration is iterative: the draft is returned until it accurately represents you, not a close approximation of you.

The result is a book built from your voice, not interpreted from it. For a detailed comparison of the two approaches, see Book Development vs Ghostwriting.
